  5. Oh Wow! Haha, I remember working on this game. It was my first "real" 3D game using the GPU. Astro3D was all software and used scaled sprites. I learned a lot about making these games. Gosh, it has been over 20+ years since I made them. Thanks for preserving in video.

  11. When I made FreeStrike (almost 20 years ago), I did not get a chance to finish it. Many things were going at the time (9/11, life changes, etc). Time escaped me so I had to rush it to market. So, I want to do it some justice.

  15. Yes, AstroCrisis will still happen. I decided to do FreeStrike first because I never got a chance to do a proper follow-up version adding the things I did not have the opportunity to do with the first version. So I figured I would do that because I still have all the art, sound and music for it. Thus, the plan at the moment is to finish and release a proper version of FreeStrike and then AstroCrisis at a later time.

  17. Add Config property, OnOpenConfig, and OnCloseConfig event handlers to TGame class. Before OnLoadConfig call OnOpenConfig and after OnSaveConfig call OnCloseConfig. Inside OnLoadConfig use Config_Open, which will open a config file using the path+base name of the EXE.

  19. Hi James, Good to hear from you. I hope all is well. Yes, I will release my game projects under TBG label. I finally got some technical issues resolved with my game engine. Some things I've been wanting to get in for a long time but had not because of various technical problems, lack of knowledge, limited time, life, etc. I'd say, I now have 98% of all the features in place that I can soon realize my original vision. It is a very different time now then it was back then of course. Many things are so much easier now, but the competition has increased exponentially.
